Padmaraj Nair Films (PNF) is the official production house established by SRM Film School to provide students with real-world filmmaking experience. Founded by filmmaker and educator Padmaraj Rajgopal Nair, PNF serves as a creative platform where aspiring filmmakers can apply their training to actual film projects. This initiative bridges the gap between academic learning and industry practice, allowing students to engage in the complete filmmaking process—from script development to post-production. PNF's inaugural project, Majhi Prarthana, exemplifies this mission. Written, directed, and produced by Padmaraj Rajgopal Nair, the Marathi-language romantic drama features performances by Padmaraj Rajgopal Nair, Anusha Adep, and Upendra Limaye. Set in rural Maharashtra during the British era, the film narrates the poignant love story of Golya and Prarthana, exploring themes of love, betrayal, and resilience. The film's music is composed by Viswajith C T, with cinematography by Tanu Balak and editing by Pradeep Shankar. Majhi Prarthana was released in theaters on May 9, 2025, and received positive attention for its storytelling and production quality. Through PNF, SRM Film School reinforces its commitment to hands-on education, enabling students to participate in professional film productions and gain invaluable industry insights.
